2. What exactly is “MOUNTAINEERING”?
Mountaineering, (also referred to as 'mountain climbing') is a set of
activities that involves ascending mountains.
Mountaineering-related activities include traditional outdoor
climbing, skiing, and traversing via ferratas. Indoor climbing,
sport climbing and bouldering are also considered
mountaineering by some.
4. RULE 1
It’s always further than it looks.
People generally think that their destination is close by.
But in fact it would be a long journey to reach the destination.
People have to treck atleast 8-12 hours everyday based on the
area and also while carrying 12-15 kilograms of gear with them
5. RULE 2
It’s always taller than it looks.
Though we can see the mountain peak and think that it it is close
by, we ave to rethink becaise the mountain peak may be near, but
the journey to reach there is not good and also often very long.
So when we assume that the peak is just some feet above us,
then we should also make ourselves physically strong that there is
a bigger journey ahead of us.
6. RULE 3
It’s always harder than it looks.
Climbing a mountain may look easy, but in reality, it is
much more hard than it seems to be.
