Varanasi is an ancient city located on the banks of the Ganges River that is considered extremely sacred by Hindus. The city serves as both a location for study and the students' living classroom for a study abroad program focused on India's culture, history, traditions, and beliefs. The core curriculum includes courses on the city, river, and sacred aspects as well as Hindi/Urdu and a culture internship. Students live with local families and have meals provided at the program center and homes, while also participating in field visits around Varanasi and other locations to deepen their understanding.
