1. To achieve a convention for my
ancillary magazine I had to
make the image stand in front of
the magazine title. I completed
this by using Word as my
technology to do this as it was a
quicker alternative against
Photoshop.
I was able to manipulate the
image by cropping the image on
the magazine to a small size to
focus on the models face. The
technology on word allowed me
to use the tool ‘remove
background’.
I selected the tool
remove background
which allowed me to
crop the background
of the image and only
have the face present
as the image. I
cropped this by
dragging the box
around it to the edges
of the image I
wanted. Once I was
happy with the image
shape I pressed ok
which left me with
the face of the model.
I was able to alter the look of this image by using the corrections tool on word
which allowed me to soften the image to make it similar to the one on the
background of the magazine so I was able to place the copied image in front of
the magazine title by simply dragging the cropped image onto the background
image. This was successful as I was able to make my image stand in front of
the magazine title which helped me make my ancillary’s overall successful as
this is a convention I needed to fulfill.
Without this technology on Word than I would have found it hard to complete
on Photoshop and could of potentially not had my image placed in front of the
magazine cover
