1. Urgent Care Centers should be utilized instead of emergency rooms when medical care
is required after duty hours for Lyster beneficiaries. Emergency rooms are designed to
treat medical emergencies such as heart attacks, accidents or other emergencies that
occur when Urgent Care Centers may be closed. Below is a list of local Urgent Care
Centers that are TRICARE Prime authorized. Remember, utilization of an Urgent Care
Center vs an emergency room saves you wait time and possible payment of a medical
claim. You must contact the After-Hours-Nurse line at 877-418-0983 to obtain referral for
urgent care visits.
