The hormone Oxytocin has best been known for inducing labor. It’s also associated with maintaining relationships, human bonding, and mother and child connecting. Oxytocin is also responsible for milk ejection during lactation, contractions during birth, and is released during sexual interactions.

Oxytocin is produced in the Pituitary Gland, which is attached to the Hypothalamus in the brain. The Pituitary Gland is the base of the brain and sends signals to other glands to produce certain hormones.
