1. ACSA Conference Presentation
Franklin-McKinley in partnership with Partners in School Innovation
November 8, 2013
Presentation Abstract
In the spring of 2012 Franklin-McKinley School District (FMSD) leaders launched a district-wide transformation effort
using an equity-focused, continuous improvement approach. Hear how FMSD school and district leaders aligned their
leadership actions, professional learning opportunities, and related resources around a few key priorities in order to
promote every students’ achievement. Begin to develop your own theory of action that can help you create alignment in
your school or district. Determine ways you can use student achievement and adult practice data to monitor your
implementation of your theory of action and make thoughtful adjustments in order to reach your goals.
