2. Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty
I worship you and adore you for who You are
and for Your awesome greatness.
You are the creator of heaven and Earth
and all that is in it. You are the Alpha and Omega,
the Beginning and the End.
You are the omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient.
You are the high and holy One who also revives
the humble and contrite heart.
I humbly bow before You
as my sovereign Lord and gracious Saviour

3. You sent Jesus Christ,
Your one and only Son,
to die on the cross for me and my sins.
You sent Jesus to reveal Yourself,
to teach me about the government of God
(Your kingdom) and show me how to live
and work in Christ by praying, resolving conflict
and doing my part to bring about reconciliation.
Help me to live by Your Kingdom principles.
Forgive me my trespasses as I forgive those
who trespass against me.

4. By Your Suffering Servant, Jesus,
You bore our sins, sorrows and weaknesses
at the cost of agony and unimaginable suffering.
You took the worst possible pain upon Yourself
– both physically and spiritually.
You suffered in terrible anguish, intensified
by insulting rejection.
Through this torment and agony
You took our sins, our iniquities,
our infirmities, our sorrows upon Yourself
– even though we deserved none of Your sacrificial
love.
Help me to identify with Your suffering.

5. You raised our Lord Jesus from the dead
and gave Him the place of Head of His Body,
and Head over all the spiritual and
governmental powers in the universe.
He now brings about the good pleasure of God,
the will of God,
leading the cause of God the Father
throughout the earth.
Bring me through this agony to an
enjoyment of Your resurrection power.

6. You alone are worthy of praise and honour and glory
and wealth and wisdom and strength.
Everything that I value, including my
God-given sense of dignity and worth,
I lay before You as my Lord and God,
Creator and Redeemer, my sovereign and coming King.
I tear down the idols in my heart,
anything and everything that takes
Your place as a primary source of satisfaction or
control.
I love You with all my passion and obedience.

7. In amazement and awe, with trembling,
I claim my union with You
(provided by our Lord Jesus Christ)
as Your child, as Your servant, as Your disciple.
I praise You for this privilege of living in Christ.
Remind me of my true identity
as I go through the pain of this conflict.
Somehow bring glory to Yourself
by finishing the work You have given me to do,
and by my honoring You with my life and my lips
– even when I’m tempted to say things
that displeases You.
Love others through me,
especially those who give me such a hard time.

8. You are the God who acts,
the incarnate Christ,
the victor over sin and death
who holds the keys of Hades.
You conquered Satan and
all his forces and made a public
spectacle of them, triumphing
over them through the Cross.
Give the evil one no place,
no foothold, no stronghold in my life.
Blessed are the Peace Makers by
Neil Anderson and Charles Mylander
9. You are the God who answers prayer,
who sets people free form bondage,
who restores the broken and
brings home the wanderer.
You are the Lord Jesus Christ,
who acts with compassion on behalf of the
harassed and helpless, the oppressed
and disfranchised, the hurting and heartbroken.
You are the one who opens blind eyes, who removes
defense mechanisms and self-justification, who brings about
revolutionary repentance and saving faith.
You are the one who heals the broken-hearted and binds
up their wounds. Do all of these things for me and also for
those who oppose me in this conflict.

Neil Anderson and Charles Mylander
10. Lord, protect me especially now.
You are my refuge, shelter, hiding place,
dwelling place, stronghold.
I come under the shadow of your wings.
You are my rock, my sword, my shield,
my strong tower, my mighty fortress.
You are my stability, my weapon,
my defense, my security, my protection.
I joyfully welcome this God-given union
with divine resources – God’s Holy Spirit,
God’s written Word, God’s mighty works,
God’s faithful people.

11. Thank you for the inheritance
that you have given to me –
Your salvation, life and kingdom.
Thank you for your promises,
blessings, likeness, fullness.
Thank you that my inheritance
includes the Holy Spirit now
and a resurrection body when
our Lord Jesus Christ returns.
Keep these riches before my mind’s eye
when I’m tempted to focus only on the
pain of this conflict and what to do about it.

Neil Anderson and Charles Mylander
12. For all of this, I praise you and glorify your name!
In the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray, amen.
