Gate Closures

(DES), US Army Garrison - Hawaii
Effective 0500 on 27 SEP 12, DES is implementing the following gate closures and/or
restrictions to alleviate traffic congestion from the Wahiawa Bridge closure:
McNair Gate:
CHANGE: McNair gate will be closed to traffic coming from Honolulu and turning left into McNair Gate
from 0500-0730 and 1600-1830, M-F.
CHANGE: McNair gate's outbound lane turning left towards North Shore will be
closed from 0500-0730 and 1600-1830, M-F.
Macomb Gate:
CHANGE: Macomb gate's outbound lane turning right towards Honolulu will be
closed from 1600-1830, M-F.
These specific lane closures are being instituted to alleviate traffic congestion on Wilikina Drive while
still providing access from Schofield Barracks to Honolulu and North Shore.
HPD officers will continue to remain at key intersections during these times to facilitate traffic flow
