New features for the Mahara learning portfolio system can be proposed by discussing them in forums or by creating a wishlist item on Launchpad. If the idea gains support, the feature would be developed as a code change and undergo code review and testing before being merged into the master codebase. Alternatively, new features can be added as plugins that can be enabled or disabled.
