3. 1. Executive Summary
Offering a complete surveying solution for every type of land or property,
3Sixtymeasurement’s expert team has extensive experience in providing land and
measured building surveys.
3sixtymeasurement was established in April 2007 following a management buyout from
a multidisciplinary PLC. As a business unit within the Group Property Division, we
delivered surveys alongside Project Managers, Architects and Quantity Surveyors and
this was a unique experience to work closely with fellow professionals. We believe the
experience gained during this time operating within a large multidisciplinary group is
what sets us apart from other survey companies.
Since then we have continued to build on this experience and we fully understand that
our work is just part of a bigger picture and being able to appreciate and
accommodate the needs of others to deliver client goals and objectives is essential.
Based on our exemplar work in the past and our commended ability to form strong
relationships with clients, much of our work is repeat business and by referral.
Whilst we will not compromise on quality and the need to get it ‘right first time’, we
organise our work to deliver survey information on a rolling basis and in a way which
allows data to be built upon, with the aim to save time and money to our clients.
Survey information previously delivered by members of our team during their careers
has been used for such prestigious projects as the refurbishment of The Royal Festival
Hall, The Treasury Building Whitehall PFI, and The London Coliseum Theatre
Restoration and for a variety of projects for the Ministry of Defence (MOD). Throughout
their careers our senior staff members have undertaken numerous surveys for estate
management, redevelopment and refurbishment and regeneration projects large and
small.
Our ethos is simple: adopting a ‘can do’ attitude, we strive to work with our clients, to
think beyond the boundary lines to understand the technical and timescale
requirements for a project. Fully understanding the detail of the project, we believe
enables us to provide the most practical, accurate and creative guidance around.

Risk Assessments
Prior to commencement on site an initial risk assessment would be prepared and staff
undertaking the work would be briefed prior to attending site. The surveyor leading
the work would then review this upon arrival and update the risk assessment
accordingly, seeking advice and guidance from Directors if need be. Where necessary
risk assessments are updated during the survey programme if circumstances change or
additional risks become apparent as access is gained to parts of a site or building.
Upon employment all members of staff are issued with our guidance document
“Operating procedures for Land and Building Surveying”
This highlights common risks and identifies how our policy to manage those risks is to
be implemented. A copy of this document is available for inspection upon request.

7. 5. Resource
At 3sixtymeasurement, size really does not matter. We are an efficient surveying
practice and have successfully delivered large and small surveys to a range of clients
over the last few years.
Where appropriate and to meet delivery requirements of our clients, we work on
occasions with a number of partnering sub-contractors on the basis stated below:
a) For the specific task of Underground Services and Drainage Surveys (such as
drainage investigations and the electronic tracing of services) we work with a
single partnering sub-consultant, as we believe this specialist task is best
undertaken by experts. We do not go out to tender and work solely with this
single partner, who we believe they are quite simply the best in the UK in this
field.
b) To meet peaks of workload or to shorten timescales to meet client
requirements, we work with a very small number of select land surveyors. All
work is checked and as part of the process is formatted to our own data
structure and presentation style, ensuring a common standard of delivery and
quality.
In both cases our use of sub-consultants is based on well established long-term
confidence, personal trust and professional relationships with the directors/sole
proprietors of these companies.

8. 6. Methodology
A Land & Measured Building Survey is one of the key elements to a successful and cost
effective project. Specialising in high quality, accurate and comprehensive survey
information, we deliver to tight deadlines with a personal and efficient service.
Working closely with our clients, we provide survey specifications which are tailored to
project and budget requirements.
Surveys are organised so that initial information can be provided to get a scheme
under way, and then built upon as the scheme progresses — with information delivered
at key stages of the process.
Surveys are supplied with a portfolio of digital photographs, which are used where
appropriate to illustrate specific information, such as adjacent building heights.
Digital data is supplied in AutoCAD compatible DWG & DXF formats using a structured
layering convention, which can be tailored to meet the needs of the client’s
organisation or project.
Where appropriate 3sixtymeasurement provides intelligent CAD drawings created by
the use of attributes. This allows information such as room numbers, usages and net
areas to be linked and exported to excel spreadsheets for analysis e.g. for general
accommodation schedules and for specific uses such as FE College eMandate
submissions.
We look to provide a professional, quality-driven and discreet service — one that
doesn’t intrude on activity at an occupied site and maintains the utmost
confidentiality. By fostering strong working relationships, we strive to ensure the
objectives of our clients, and their end users, are met.
RESPONSIVE DEDICATED FLEXIBLE PERSONABLE
9. 7. Experience
The Directors and staff of 3Sixtymeasurement have extensive experience in delivering
measured survey information to a wide variety of clients in a range of sectors. Prior to
the establishment of 3Sixtymeasurement in April 2007 the Directors have been
involved with a number of landmark projects both in the public and private sectors,
such as Canary Wharf, HM Treasury and The London Coliseum. Between April 2003 and
March 2007 whilst operating as part of Tribal Group the company developed a
reputation for the provision of survey work to the public sector, in education and in
health. This has continued since becoming an independent company in April 2007 and
extensive experience of the requirements for and working within this sector has
continued to be acquired. We believe we are one of the leading suppliers of survey
information across the South East of England. CV’s for senior 3sixtymeasurement
personnel are included within this document.
