WHY THIS EVENT

Management is an intensive course, reflecting real experience gained in
the industry both from managing contracts and resolving disputes. It is
structured to ensure participants gain a practical understanding of each of
the critical elements within the procurement lifecycle.
YOUR INTERNATIONAL
COURSE FACILITATOR
Rob Ashcroft
BEng(Hons), Civil Eng.
Successful project outcomes starts with an assessment of the best
procurement strategy to adopt – and that requires knowledge of the
available options, and analysis of the organisation’s capabilities and risk
management strategies.
A platform for effective delivery can be ensured by better attention to key
elements within the tender and contract documentation, and the
tendering and selection processes.
The contractual obligations arising from the tender process need to be
recognised in order to protect the principal.
Desired outcomes require effective contract administration, and informed
performance management tools.
An understanding of the legal framework for construction ensures
decisions and actions are based on informed analysis.
Strategies to recognise potential for disputes, and their avoidance, provide
great benefits.
This course covers projects of all sizes, is practically orientated with
interactive workshops and exercises covering most aspects of the material
presented, providing an effective learning opportunity.
