- 3. State Capital ● Columbus is Ohio’s state capital. ● It is located almost directly in the middle of the state. ● The nickname of Columbus is “The Discovery City.” ● It is the capital of the largest city in Ohio. ● 15th largest city in the US. ● Mayor is Michael B. Coleman.
