Evaluation Part 7
1. 6. What have you learnt about technologies
from the process of constructing this product?
InDesign
I learnt how to put a drop shadow on the whole
text box and not just the text itself. I did this by
using the drop shadow tool and doing this has
helped my magazine name stand out on every
page, not just my contents page. I also used this
tool on my images and masthead as well.
This tool has helped me to make the
images look like real photographs and
stand out against the green
background.
2. 6. What have you learnt about technologies
from the process of constructing this
product?
InDesign
Also, on my contents page, I colour coded the relevant cover
lines to the corresponding picture of the musician. I did this by
using the colour tab and changing the LAB numbers to match the
previous colour.
By altering the LAB figures, it ensures
that I use the same colour scheme
throughout my magazine.
3. 6. What have you learnt about technologies
from the process of constructing this product?
InDesign
On my contents page, I also used the rotate tool to make the
text boxes appear slanted. Having all my text boxes completely
straight made the contents page look boring and not very
entertaining.
I used this tool on
many text boxes in
my contents page.
By selecting the rotate tool and moving the selected box in the direction you
want it, it allows the whole text box to be placed in a slanted position. Without
the rotate tool, my contents page would look very boring and nothing like a real
music magazine.
