Iraqi ROE: Recipe for Defeat v2.0
1. Iraqi Rules of Engagement
(ROE) Cards
The following are the ROE cards given out to our Soldiers in Iraq/Kuwait. We make
some observations about their content which indicates a corrupt and incompetent
military occupation is underway. Truly this is a military generation that “does not know
what right looks like” to skillfully handle an unwanted occupation of a foreign country.
2. Feel better now? Ad hocery; every
You have lumped Why are personal Saying this means you time we go to war
combatants into weapons evil? How are very worried you we are going to make
three numbers. Does are you going to be up new code words
safe if “Mother Army”
will falter/fail for weapons? Why
this mean you have
situation physically doesn’t have you not Cooper’s Conditions
mastered? Just armed or with the Since when do you 0 to 4 and have this
another anxiety reducer proper weapon? want to take a knife to area fully understood?
feel-good, bureaucratic Odd for a CFLCC a gunfight? This symbol “Red” here is actually
with a knife as its condition 1 and is too late
declaration of the obvious again shows minimalism
to make weak people feel symbol, huh? More taking safety off becomes
when a maximalist, holistic Condition 0 which IS going
they are in control when Dixonian anxiety approach is needed to happen but is not listed
they are not about troop control.
How are you going to here as an option to be
avoid military traffic if you understood = accidental
are military? Wear an invisibility cloak? Double-Talk. firings are inevitable
3. “Nothing in these rules
limits”….”Obligation”….”all” is then
limited and negated by “necessary
and appropriate” ie; if what you do
then is looked back on with 20-20
hindsight and found not “necessary
and appropriate” you will be
punished
WTFO? Several Iraqi rebellion groups
have DECLARED their hostility towards us,
why are we denying the threat to our men?
Here U.S. forces are emasculated into a reactive,
minimalist attitude. Force is defined as
shooting a gun by implication. Eg: Aggressively
clearing roads and sealing them with Rhino
Snot is a type of force. To win we have to
exert pro-actively enough force to control the
ground. “Counter” ing acts/intents is inadequate
when we want to pre-empt them. Having troops
in inadequately armored trucks take this stance
is suicide. This is classic Dixonian gun anxiety.
No initiative; troops can’t think, is “commander”
going to be there 24/7/365 babysitting you?
4. What do they mean by “NO” here? Either “ALL” means everyone or it doesn’t. More
double-talk. Notice the people who CFLCC doesn’t give a sh*t about with the “NO”
remark are the people the redneck, right-wing fascist neocon anxiety-ridden Bush types
dislike (even though they are there trying to help fix the mess they got themselves into):
* The Press * Local Press
* International Red Cross * Civilians who are not there blessed by them
* U.N. * Foreign diplomats who might solve crisis usurp CFLCC
* AAFES with U.N.
In the blacked-out section the call-for-help frequency is referred to as “range control” as
if we were back in the states at a shooting range! The garrison mentality of troop anxiety
and control never stops..even in wartime. We are not at war we are playing.
