Welcome to Prague!
Many people tired of beach rest and prefer to spend the holidays in Europe. One of the often
visited European capitals is not Rome or Paris, but Prague.
Place of concentration of tourists' activity is the Staromestsky town hall with its famous
astronomical clock Orloi. The clock created at the beginning of the XV century, have not only
the ordinary dial, but also astronomical one, showing the position of the Sun, the Moon, the
Pole star and some constellations.
The Prague zoo is near the Troy botanical garden. Professor Yirzhi Yanda became the
developer of the project and the first director of a present zoo. The zoo opened on
September 28, 1931, and for that period it contained 200 animals (now there're more than
five thousand). According to the Forbes magazine, the Prague zoo takes the seventh place
among the best zoos of the world. In 1932 in a zoo there Przhevalsky's first horses appeared.
A big merit of the Prague zoo is that this zoological species didn't disappear from the face of
the earth.
The hotels are not expensive but beautiful and comfortable. The winter is so warm that you
can wear a jacket in the street. And you still doubt whether you should go there!
Independently of purposes of your visit, don't forget to make to throw a coin into one of
wonderful fountains which strike imagination with the beauty, and to bring your relatives a
souvenir from the Czech Republic. Then you precisely will return to this surprising country.
