1. IMAGES I USED AND WHY
Images was taken on the
26/11/13
I used this image of my model because she represents the theme of rock for example the leather
jacket is commonly related with the rock/bike look. The metal chains around her neck also adds
effect, metal has connotations of being cold and hard this is also represented by the models facial
expressions, the chains however also make her more feminine it shows she favors accessories. The
make-up reinforces this although the dark black heavy eyes also represent the theme of rock. The
models hair being out and waved further represents her femininity. The hands grabbing on to the
jacket shows she is strong , determined and unafraid this is also further reinforced by the direct eye
contact. The colour black has connotations of mystery, evil, fear, elegance and power.
I used this image because my model body posture represents some connotations related to the
theme of rock for example her body language represents having power as well as being unafraid
and determined, this reinforces some of the artist character. The eye contact is looking towards the
side this shows she is confident, the grabbing on to the hat is as though is is about to remove it as a
sign of respect furthermore it adds to the mysteriousness of the theme.
I used this image because the models body language is strong, tough and dominant. This is
represented by the tight fist as though she is ready to conquer what might come her way however
the fist is also as a sign of success and achievement having finally accomplished something. In
addition the direct eye contact and the straight, still face reinforces this, where as the other hand
on her head is as though she cannot fathom what has happened to her.
Overall there is 3 different camera shots, body
positions and different representations being
represented in each.

2. IMAGES I NEVER USED AND WHY
I did not use this image because my models facial expressions are
unclear due to the different shading of lighting around the face also
the hair is more dominant on one side compared to the other as well
as the shot is taken more towards the side rather than straight ahead.
Furthermore one of her hands are on her chest this does not
represent any ideas of the rock theme.
I did not use this image because there is excessive amount of
shadow around and on the model this makes her facial
expression unclear. In addition the body language does not
have any clear representations.
I did not use this image because there is strong amount of light
this makes the model fade into the background, the image is
unclear as it is faded. Furthermore the body language is simple it
does not generate any ideas to do with the artist or the theme.
